Courtney Tezeno is a TV Host, journalist and producer known for her empathy, Southern charm and authenticity as the host for HGTV's ‘Cash in the Attic’ on Discovery +. Hailing from Houston, Texas, Courtney was named one of Buzzfeed's Top 5 Black Female Entertainment Journalists Under 30 in Hollywood quickly making her a force in the broadcast business both nationally and internationally. She is currently a lifestyle and livestream shopping host for Amazon Live, Shein Live and previously on Fox’s The Real. Across the pond, she's a showbiz contributor for ITV’s morning show Lorraine in London.
Viewers watched Courtney in action daily as the co-host of Close Up by E! News, where she delivered daily entertainment news and commentary, on streaming network Quibi. The Texas native also lends her voice to the podcast space on her co-hosted show, Boss Lady Energy, dedicated to giving modern women a space to learn, listen and build community. Before joining the NBC Universal family, Courtney served up personality filled with her wit and insight across all CBS’ Entertainment Tonight platforms, including the Emmy award-winning broadcast, ET Online and 24/7 streaming network, ET Live. Whether she's preaching pop culture with her commentary on trending news or interviewing Hollywood's biggest stars on the red carpet like Dwayne Johnson, Issa Rae, Donald Glover, Gabrielle Union, Reese Witherspoon, Jordan Peele, Kerry Washington or Zoe Saldana to name a few, Courtney's authentic approach leaves a lasting impression. She appeared on the nationally syndicated Christian television network TBN, where she hosted JUCE TV's monthly music countdown, TX10. Upon arriving to Los Angeles, Courtney landed a role as a red carpet reporter and host of Hollyscoop. She wrote, produced and hosted daily entertainment news segments featured on AOL, Huffington Post, Yahoo and more. She also served as a host for ModaMob News, a beauty and fashion channel for AOL. Her daily reports and red carpet interviews received over 15 million views a month online. She's no stranger to the hard news route as well. Courtney cut her teeth as a general assignment reporter and weekend anchor at NBC-affiliate KOMU-TV in Columbia, MO. Prior to earning her broadcast journalism degree, she was named the first high school intern for Houston PBS. As a former pageant girl (and finalist at Miss California USA 2016), her motto "Wake Up and Win" focuses on seizing each day, uplifting others and achieving the limitless dreams God has promised for everyone. This led her to create her own digital empowerment series, Teztimonial, where Courtney shares her truth and allows others to do the same on her self-run YouTube.
